OUR JOURNEY

How We Got Here

The Khalsa School Robotics Team, established in 2020 participated for the first time in the FIRST Tech Challenge - Ultimate Goal. We started our journey in the midst of the pandemic with very little experience in robotics and virtually no support from other teams due to COVID restrictions. The team persevered and participated in remote scrimmages and successfully built a working robot. In our second year with the COVID restrictions easing off, we found support from other teams in the Lower Mainland and did some community outreach. The team had their first experience of 'in-person' competitive robotics and ranked 12th in BC. In our fourth year, we had ranked 7th in the semi- finals This year we are geared up to improve our game and become better to reach the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship.

Hello! My name is Gulbagh. I have a background in Mechanical Engineering and am very passionate about robotics. I teach Physics and Math and find FIRST a great way to show the practical application of concepts learned in class.

Hi! My name is Upraj. I’m currently 17 and I am in Grade 12. This is my third year with FIRST, and I am the captain of this team.. My main roles are building, and CAD support.
